For those who didn’t know, amika now has a hyaluronic acid-infused hydration collection (AKA, our hydro rush collection) that includes a shampoo, conditioner, leave-in conditioner, oil, and mask. In broad terms, this line is intended for people with coarser, highly textured hair. But, some of the products work for all hair types that are just experiencing dryness. We know it can be confusing when deciding if a product is right for you and your hair type, so we asked some of our Brand Ambassadors to show us how they use products from our hydro rush line. Walk us through your hydro rush routine.
With the hydro rush routine, I start with the intense moisture shampoo to deeply cleanse and moisturize my hair. Once I lather and massage the shampoo in my hair, I rinse then go into the intense moisture conditioner, which is amazing on my hair because it instantly locks into my hair and it’s easy to detangle. Lastly, I end this process with the dream routine overnight hydration treatment as a leave-in treatment on my hair. This product really preps my hair well for a successful and long-lasting wash and go style.
Do you use different hydro rush products throughout the week?
On wash day, I use the shampoo, conditioner, and dream routine. On day 3 or 4, I like to refresh my hair with the dream routine and intense moisture leave-in conditioner.
What do you like about each of those products?
The intense moisture shampoo is amazing for cleansing and also hydrating my hair, especially when it feels dryer than normal. The intense moisture conditioner has amazing slip and it’s easy to use for detangling my hair. The dream routine is perfect for prepping my hair for whatever style I want to go for, this gives my hair a good amount of moisture it needs after washing my hair. The intense moisture leave-in conditioner is perfect for refreshing my hair, this helps brings my curls back to life throughout the week.

The key to a good wash and go is using the dream routine on wet hair and leaving it in overnight or for a few hours before styling your hair.

Walk us through your hydro rush routine.
I start my hydro rush routine by using the intense moisture shampoo & conditioner. I then use the intense moisture leave in conditioner to detangle and start my styling. I finish off by using a little dream routine before braiding my hair & sleeping. Then I wake up with defined, moisturized, natural waves!!
Do you use different hydro rush products throughout the week?
I like using the leave in conditioner to revitalize my hair if I need to by combing, then conditioning my hair with it.
What do you like about each of those products?
I love that the dream routine can be used overnight for styling while I sleep! I absolutely love the spritzer on the leave in conditioner, makes it so easy & convenient to use.

Walk us through your hydro rush routine.
First, I shampoo and condition my hair with amika’s Kure line. Second, I use the Dream Routine Overnight Mask in my hair before I put my styling products. I use the Curl Corps Gel and Cream. Lastly, I diffuse my hair to lock in the moisture and styles.
Do you use different hydro rush products throughout the week?
Since I have curly hair, I don’t wash my hair often. I shampoo every 2 weeks and then in between, I use the Dream Routine at night to help soften it by the next morning.
What do you like about each of those products?
I love that Dream Routine helps soften my hair and detangles it when I’m in between hairstyles. It mixes well with my curl products and doesn’t weigh it down or make my hair flaky. And adds a beautiful shine to my hair.
Any other hair hacks you do using our hydro rush collection?
You can use the Dream Routine for twist-outs on curly hair. When the style is dry, it can help the style look more defined and shinier. I sleep with a satin pillowcase and bonnet to protect my hair and keep the products in my hair longer.

Walk us through your hydro rush routine.
I start with hydro rush shampoo + conditioner. If my hair is a bit dryer than usual (since the weather has been unexpectedly cold here in CA) I add some leave-in conditioner post shower as well as the water sign to add even more moisture + shine
Do you use different hydro rush products throughout the week?
Water sign is a daily product for me. I have days where I’m really tired or lazy to do my nighttime routine and I notice when I skip water sign my hair is not as manageable. Dream routine is another amazing product that my hair loves! I like to use this on days when I don’t have much time to style my hair.
What do you like about each of those products?
This entire line is incredible, and I honestly thought that using them all together might be too much, but each of these products complement each other so perfectly. The amika team nailed it!
Any other hair hacks you do using our hydro rush collection?
On the days where I’m running short on time, but I have to wash my hair I like to go in with the dream routine and water sign for a wet and go style. These two products have really surprised me. I have a natural wave to my hair, and it is so frizzy. This makes it really hard for me to be able to just leave the house with wet hair. But these 2 together have worked wonders for me. I love it because I can embrace my natural texture without my hair feeling weighed down by all kinds of products!
