joy is at the heart of amika, every day of the year + during the holiday season, we turn the volume up on all things joyful even more, with gift sets for everyone on your list (+ yourself). for our 2026 holiday haircare sets, we teamed up with Brazilian multidisciplinary artist João Incerti to bring that feeling to life, so you can get the gift of great hair, wrapped in art.

based in Brazil, Incerti’s work is an amika fave. luckily, the feeling is mutual—the artist “immediately connected” with all things amika, which he describes as “joyful and fun.”

the gift sets are wrapped in a limited-edition artwork with a hand-cut aesthetic meant to evoke one’s inner child. “i was inspired by amika's signature artwork mixed with my personal style, combined with this papercut aesthetic. the goal was to make it fun but also pretty,” he shares.“i had so much fun creating this and I was looking to transmit this through the artwork.”

to create the bold shapes + graphic designs, Incerti started by physically cutting colorful paper by hand. “I made a real size box with colored paper to imagine how I would make the artwork,” he explains.“then I started cutting the paper to create the shapes + then recreated it on the computer.”

the final artwork, he says, is simply meant to be fun. “it makes me want to dance + shake my hair.” look closely, and amika superfans may see some familiar silhouettes. “you can find all of amika's signature shapes hidden!” he reveals. “the flower, the water drops, eyes + stars are all there.”

each box is also bursting with color, something Incerti feels especially passionate about. “i'm a big fan of color, I'm always trying new combinations and trying to get out of my comfort zone,” he says.

as for his own holiday traditions, Incerti says he likes to reflect on what he’s accomplished the previous year + dream about what’s coming next. and of course, he makes time to celebrate too: “in Brazil we dress in white and party all night,” he says, adding that it's the peak of summer + still very hot. “but when I'm in New York during the holidays, i ice skate everyday. i love it!”
