What is the status of my order?

Due to COVID-19, we are experiencing processing delays—please allow up to 5 business days before your order will ship.

You will receive an email with tracking information once your order has been processed and shipped. After receiving your confirmation email, you can check the status of your order here at any time. Just use the same email you placed the order with, as well as the order number you received in your confirmation email.

What's taking my order so long to get here?

We ship exclusively with FedEx, with the fastest delivery method available for each order -- due to the current pandemic, FedEx is processing an exceptionally high volume of parcels for the entire United States. Based on estimates we've been given from FedEx, please allow up to an additional week for your order to be processed and delivered by FedEx. During this time, FedEx tracking may not update daily, and may show a "Pending" delivery status. Just like us, FedEx is doing everything they can to get your order to you ASAP!

Are amika products cruelty-free?

amika never has and never will conduct animal testing. When we create a product, we test it on ourselves, our friends, and anyone and everyone we can get our hands on! We test on people, never animals. To show our commitment to being cruelty-free, amika has been certified under the Leaping Bunny Standard.

Are amika products sulfate + paraben-free?

All haircare products are free from sulfates, parabens + phthalates.

Are amika products gluten-free?

There are nine products in our hair care line that contain wheat-based ingredients which may contribute gluten. Glass Action Oil Treatment contains Wheat Germ Oil, while Flash Instant Shine Mask and Fadeblock Pre-Shampoo Color Seal contain Wheat Germ Extract. The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray, Nice Cream Cleansing Conditioner, Curl Corps Enhancing Gel and Curl Corps Defining Cream contain Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein. If you have gluten allergies, please consult with your doctor.

All other products contain no gluten contributors.

Are amika products silicone-free?

Silicones have a bad rep - but they are not always detrimental to your hair! They help create a sleek, shiny look but can sometimes weigh down hair. When we formulate products we determine whether silicones would be beneficial to the product. We are not always silicone-free, but we also don’t see that as a bad thing!

Are amika products vegan?

The majority of our haircare line is Certified Vegan, however, a small handful of products use animal-derived ingredients. Hydrolyzed Keratin is utilized in Vault Color-Lock Leave-In Conditioner and The Shield Anti-Humidity Spray. Additionally, Haute Mess Texture Gel contains Honey Extract, Heist Styling Molding Blend contains Lanolin Wax, and Velveteen Dream Smoothing Balm contains PEG-8 Distearate. All our products are always cruelty-free.

Where are amika products made?

Our haircare products are produced in the United States, Canada, and Israel. Our hair tools are made in China, Switzerland, and Korea.

Can I receive samples?

You are able to select (2) free samples at checkout along with your order. Samples are only included when you select them. Sample selection varies and is based on available stock.

What are my shipping options?

amika orders ship via FedEx/USPS on business days (Monday through Friday from 8:30am-5:30pm EST, excluding major holidays). amika offers free standard shipping on orders $35 or more to the contiguous 48 U.S. states on all orders. Orders that are below $35 will be charged a $10 flat shipping rate. Orders that contain salon merch items are charged a $10 flat shipping rate. We currently do not ship to P.O. boxes, APO, FPO, DPO destinations and freight forwarding addresses. We do not ship to Canada and Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico, Guam, U.S. Virgin Islands and all other U.S. territories at this time. Can I cancel my order?

Most orders placed before 4pm EST will ship the same day. Should you need to cancel your order, we will do our best to accommodate if we receive an email from you within 2 hours of placing the order at info@loveamika.com. Please be sure to include your order number in the subject line. Once we cancel your order, we will refund the credit card used for the initial purchase. Please be patient. Seeing a credit on your account can take several business days.

How do I return an item?

If you are not totally satisfied with your loveamika.com purchase, we’ll happily accept returns within 30 days of receipt. Returns are free and easy!

Visit our return form to create a return.

Once we receive your return, we will refund the credit card used for the initial purchase. Please be patient. Seeing a credit on your account can take several business days.

Sadly, we cannot accept any returns and will not refund any items not purchased directly from loveamika.com. Please note, items tagged with ***Final Sale*** in our 40% off flash sale are not eligible for return.

How do I make a warranty claim?

To make a warranty claim, please visit our Warranty page. All warranty returns must include proof of purchase from an authorized retailer.

How can I reach the customer service team and when should I expect a response?

Is there a limit to how much I can buy?

All items have a maximum of 3 quantity limit placed that may be purchased in one transaction.

How do I find out about upcoming launches and restocks?

When do my products expire?

Our haircare products, with the exception of aerosols, have a ‘Period After Opening’ which you can find written in the little jar symbol on the back of the package. The Period After Opening determines the amount of months the product stays fresh after the first use. Depending on the product, it could be between 12-24 months. Aerosols do not have a ‘Period After Opening’ since their contents are never exposed to the environment.

Can I mix-and-match products in different collections?

Yes! To optimize your desired look, we recommend using the full collection, but our products can be mixed and matched if you want multiple benefits. That being said, some products don’t mix together well so reach out in our chat if you have a specific question about how to use our products.
