If you have been going blonde for a while, you know how hard it can be to maintain. You’re most likely going to the salon more frequently than you were before, and you probably have more damage due to bleach + lighteners. You know the drill, so you’re automatically drawn to purple hair products that promise light, bright, and toned locks. If you’re newly blonde or thinking about making the jump, you may be in for a big surprise.

That being said, we’re here to take the surprise out of it all so you know EXACTLY what you’re getting yourself into. Let’s dive into what life is going to look like post-salon appointments.

shampoo + conditioner

The base of any hair routine. What you use in the shower matters! If you’re finding your blonde is starting to get a little brassy, reach for our bust your brass cool blonde shampoo + conditioner. A lot of purple shampoos can be very drying, but not this one. The shampoo not only delivers purple pigment, but it also has ingredients that help to keep your blonde locks manageable, silky, and smooth. The conditioner is made with shea butter, which is full of vitamins, minerals, and five fatty acids which penetrate the hair’s cuticle and provide deep hydration, softness, and shine. If you need extra toning, leave the conditioner on for 5-10 minutes!

leave-in

Your hair is most likely feeling pretty dry and damaged, a common concern of blonde bombshells. To combat this, make sure you’re using a leave-in product each time you wash your hair and whenever you feel like your ends need a little hydration. We love the vault color-lock leave-in conditioner (a spray) and supernova blonde moisture + shine cream (squeeze tube). Vault does not contain purple pigment but is packed with an amino acid complex that works to smooth the cuticle. This product is also heat activated, so remember to use some sort of heat for this product to activate and get best results. Supernova blonde does contain a light purple pigment (not as intense as the shampoo + conditioner) and contains an organic alcohol primarily used in skincare products as both a humectant and slip agent that helps to boost hair’s ability to retain moisture while providing a silky, smooth texture.

customization

If you have products that already work for you or feel like you need even more purple than some of our products provide, you can always reach for our mixtape purple blonde toning drops. These highly pigmented purple leave-in drops neutralize unwanted brassy and yellow tones for an icy finish. The drops promote vibrancy and prolongs your color. Mix this ultra-concentrated formula with your favorite amika cream or oil-based product for perfectly toned, icy results. The easy-to-use and precise dispenser provides the ability to tailor your mixture based on hair color and level of toning needed. Just a few drops go a long way.

shine enhancer

You may be noticing that your hair looks a little dull and lifeless. To fix this, reach for our flash instant shine mask. From dull to dazzling! This flash-acting mask delivers brilliant moisture and shine in just 60 seconds. Instantly seals the cuticle while softening and hydrating the hair for a silky, smooth finish. Amino acids and UV filters keep color vibrant.
