a live performance of one of the year’s hottest songs begs for chart-topping texture and turned-up volume! Forletta delivered with a winning combo of amika icons. his secret from the start? air-dried, unwashed hair with tons of texture, perked up with everyone’s favorite: perk up dry shampoo. he spritzed the #1 prestige dry shampoo in the U.S.* directly at the root for a little lift and to soak up excess oil.

the hero that had her hair H-O-T-T-O-G-O was none other than superfruit star lightweight hair styling oil—our latest launch for soft, shiny, super strands. Forletta applied superfruit star to the ends of Chappell’s hair for spotlight-ready shine that also strengthens and protects (up to 450°F!). then, he brought the heat with a 0.5’ curling iron, alternating directions to max-out movement and texture.

Forletta’s trick for chart-topping texture: picking up and pinning up curls for an added layer of dimension. to make this hack happen, he wrapped small sections around hair pins, flat ironing them for varied texture before using his fingers to piece apart her signature curls. he then took her hair to higher heights and longer lengths with the help of pre-styled extensions which he gently brushed through to blend.
